TRYOUTS
The 2017/2018 competitive team has been selected!
Competitive team tryouts are traditionally held in September at Findaway Equestrian in Waterloo, ON. More details regarding tryouts for the 2018/2019 team will be released in August.
OCEA
The Ontario Collegiate Equestrian Association (OCEA) is a show circuit where students catch-ride in equitation classes. Horses are donated for each show and riders draw horses they have never ridden before for over fences and under saddle competition.
DIVISONS
OCEA riders are placed in one of four divisions suited to their competitive experience level. With over fences classes ranging from 18" to 3' and under saddle classes with a range of technical elements, there is an opportunity for every rider to showcase their skills.

The Laurier Equestrian Club was established in 2004 at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario.
Over a decade later, Laurier Equestrian actively participates in Ontario Collegiate Equestrian Association (OCEA) competitions and continues to succeed season after season.
Offering various lesson programs, socials, and off-campus trips, Laurier Equestrian provides students with the opportunity to make life-long friendships.

LESSONS
The Laurier Equestrian Club runs lessons out of Findaway Equestrian in Baden, ON. Lessons are available to riders of all experience levels and are open to both competitive and recreational members.
OfF-Campus
Interested in attending the Royal? Enjoy trail riding?Want to cheer on the competitive team at OCEA Finals? Laurier Equestrian invites all recreational members to come to competitions as well as various other off-campus events throughout the year.
SOCIALS
Laurier Equestrian hosts a variety of social events for members throughout the year. From club dinners and Wilf's trivia to holiday parties, members are sure to have a great time getting to know other horse-loving students!

Though recognized by the WLU Athletics & Recreation Department, Laurier Equestrian is largely student-funded, continually seeking sponsors to make both club and competitive events possible. Laurier Equestrian gladly and graciously accepts donations to fund our annual horse-show, supply team sportswear and subsidize travel expenses.​
